PLEAWA is excited to host an online Masterclass with Katy McDougall, the Director of the Criminal Law Division at Legal Aid WA. Our
conversation will focus on a recently implemented reform to the criminal law process in Western Australia - the Criminal Law (Mental
Impairment) Act 2023,
which will put in place special hearings for those who may be unfit to plead their case due to mental impairment. This will be followed
by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Registration for the Business Educators Australasia (BEA) Biennial Conference 'The Capital Connection: a journey of discovery' is open.
The conference is for Accounting, Business, Economics, Legal and Civics and Citizenship educators and will take place from Wednesday 3 October to Friday 5 October 2018 in Canberra.
