The Annual General Meeting of the Political and Legal Educators Association of Western Australia
All Positions on the PLEAWA Committee will be declared vacant at the AGM, 7th
November, 4.30pm.
Members are encouraged to consider taking on one of the roles that are vital for the continuation of the Association. Should you have an
interest in filling any of the positions on the Committee please complete the Nomination Form attached and ensure it is returned prior to
4pm on the evening of the AGM. Please ensure you read the nomination form and the related sections of the PLEAWA Constitution prior to your
nomination. Click here
No late nominations will be accepted.
Refreshments will be available on arrival at the AGM and post the AGM.
Feel free to socialise with your colleagues at the conclusion of the AGM. Please register your attendance for seating and catering purposes

PLEAWA is excited to host an online Masterclass with Katy McDougall, the Director of the Criminal Law Division at Legal Aid WA. Our
conversation will focus on a recently implemented reform to the criminal law process in Western Australia - the Criminal Law (Mental
Impairment) Act 2023,
which will put in place special hearings for those who may be unfit to plead their case due to mental impairment. This will be followed
by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
